Amy Girardi is a senior program officer. She co-leads strategic grantmaking for Ascendium’s Remove Structural Barriers to Success focus area, which seeks to transform colleges and universities to foster seamless academic pathways for learners from low-income backgrounds. She joined the organization in 2022.
Previously, Amy was an associate director at Jobs for the Future (JFF), where she led a portfolio of work focused on advancing student and worker success strategies and national postsecondary reforms. Prior to JFF, she held positions at Bunker Hill Community College and the city of Boston, focused on adult education, transitions to college and re-entry education for formerly incarcerated people.
She earned a Master of Arts degree in education from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts degree in humanities, literature and philosophy from Bradford College.
