Amy Kerwin

Vice President, Education Philanthropy
Leading Ascendium’s Education Philanthropy division in its efforts to elevate opportunity through strategic grantmaking that leads to lasting change.

Amy Kerwin is Ascendium’s Vice President of Education Philanthropy. She is responsible for leading the Education Grantmaking and Strategic Communications teams in the implementation of Ascendium’s philanthropic strategy to elevate opportunities and outcomes for learners from low-income backgrounds so they can better achieve the postsecondary education and career goals that matter most to them. She joined the organization in 1994.

Before spearheading the development of Ascendium’s philanthropy program, Amy established the organization’s internal audit function and has served in numerous operational roles. Prior to joining Ascendium, she was an auditor on the financial services team in the Milwaukee office of EY. Outside of Ascendium, Amy is a member of the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy and serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Philanthropy Network and Grantmakers for Education.

Raised in Windsor, Wisconsin, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
