Creating Nimble Teams: How Institutions Enable Transformational Change

For three years, Complete College America provided resources and support to institutions that participated in their Policy, Equity, and Practice initiative, which focused on scaling change that centered equity in college completion policy and practice. Each institution implemented strategies that met their goals of ensuring all learners earn degrees and credentials of value in a timely fashion. Identified in this report are five common behavioral patterns that initially limited the institutions’ capacity to change and recommendations on how to create nimble teams to overcome these challenges. Other postsecondary institutions can use this report to more effectively and efficiently implement changes that improve outcomes for their learners.
