Tennessee’s community colleges have increased their 7-week course offerings in recent years, which has raised important questions about the impact, efficacy, and quality of the courses that are shorter than a traditional 15-week semester. The second in a series of policy briefs probing these questions finds that based on quantitative analysis, these courses are associated with improved learner outcomes.
