Innovations to Support First-Year Success
Grant Type:
Phase Two Advisory’s Placement Innovation series explores how some community colleges are using promising strategies to place learners into the first-year courses best suited for their academic preparation and continued success. Based on wide-ranging stakeholder interviews, the series envisions these placement reforms showing up across instruction, advising, and first-year supports. The project briefs outline practices to elevate learner agency, integrate them with broader student success reforms, and institutionalize and scale them to reach all learners.
